I miss the 80’s arcade

In this modern era of XBox and Playstation I still have a somewhat nostalgic urge to take a step back in time. As a teenager growing up the games that my Commodore 64 or ZX Spectrum had were not a patch on what we have today. The only place that I could go and see really impressive games was down at my local arcade. It started with Space Invaders in the late seventies then Pac-man and Galaxians then sports games or Cowboy gunfights either way this was the place to be.

They were places of colour and magic. Somewhere you could meet friends and swap tales of high scores and brag about new levels reached. As the games progressed they became even grander even allowing cooperation between players. Gauntlet, where you could be an Elf, Barbarian, Amazon or Wizard was the ultimate way before Halo.

It’s decided then. Once I’ve used that Garage Door installation Barnet company https://garagedoorsrus.co.uk/garage-door-installation-barnet/ I’m going to move that car out and fill it full of retro games.
